Playas del Coco, in Guanacaste, on the north-west Pacific coast of Costa Rica, is one of the few authentic old fisherman villages of Costa Rica, only 20 minutes from the Liberia International Airport. While retaining its native character, it has developed to become an internationally known vacation spot and home to a lot of North American's. Playa del Coco is one of the best connected< vacation spots in Costa Rica with several buses to San Jose and Liberia plus daily flights from Liberia International Airport. 	Playas del Coco is a great place to be for nightlife, with its open-air bars, discos, and casinos. There is also an abundant selection of restaurants. Due to its abundance of fish, Playas del Coco offers world classsport fishing and is a growing scuba diving center. Playas del Coco is a great base from which to make day excursions to other beaches, waterfalls, river trips, volcano's and National Parks (Rincon de la Vieja, Santa Rosa, Las Baulas National Park, etc).
