is so easy to do! Just ask us to organize this trip for you and
you will experience the pleasure of snorkeling among all kind of colored,
tropical fishes, watching for dolphins, turtles, pelicans and

to the public. You don't even have to bring your own clubs to

Guanacaste
Parks and Volcanoes:

Rincon
de la Vieja National Park (alt. 1916 m.)
At
just one hour car from Playas del Coco, this park is part of the
larger Guanacaste Protected Area. A total of nine craters compose
the Santa Maria and the Rincon de la Vieja itself, but only one is
active. Nevertheless, walking the easy trail into the Park will
bring you to fumaroles, vapor and volcanic mud spurts, as well as
bubbling mud ponds.

Imagine
yourself hiking in a beautiful forest, with many
varieties of trees and animals, such as Howler, White Faced and
Spider Monkeys, Coatls, Deer, Toucans and other 200 species of
birds.
You
can either visit the Park on your own or have us arrange a tour of
it for you with an
experienced guide, or organize a visit to one of the nearby lodges
for a horse-back riding tour and a dip in thermal sulfur water. |

Volcano
A
magnificent one day tour to this active volcano and its lake will
bring you through the Rain Forest, with its incredible rich

The giant
Leatherback Turtles |
Las
Baulas National Marine Park
Playa
Grande, a short hour and a half drive from Coco, hosts the giant
Leatherback Turtles (Baulas) for their nesting. From October to
February, solitary female leatherbacks (measuring up to 2 mts.)
come ashore, at night, to dig their huge nests:
an unique experience, not to be missed if you are here
during that period! You can either visit the park by yourself (let
us reserve the entrance for you) or take a restful tour on which a
specialized guide will accompany you to the Park and drive you
back at night!

American Crocodiles

Palo
Verde National Park
This
Park provides refuge for thousands of migrants and resident water birds,
numerous land birds and many other animals. Explore this fascinating
park on the deep, slow
moving Bebedero River, home of many wild creatures, from bird to
bats, from crocodiles to iguanas. Bordering the Palo Verde Park, all
the way to the Tempisque River, the Bebevedero is lined with dense
mangrove and is the refuge for big, showy water birds. Usually, you
will see several American Crocodiles and large numbers of different
iguanas. Do not forget your camera!
